Best Blue Rides at Monarch PDF Print E-mail

Monarch has a high percentage of Intermediate (blue) runs. They are great for getting around the Mountain, but if you want the premium Monarch experience, a little prior planning is useful. For good snowboard stylin', it is pretty hard to beat Little Mo and the K2 Organic Terrain Park on the old Slo Mo.

Monarch Snowboard Runs

Little Mo - Great Monarch Snowboard Run - photo by Gatta Ashutto

Little Mo is a long smooth Intermediate run just to the right (from the lift) of the Breezeway Lift. Ride Breezeway, get off, do a sharp U turn and head down. Makes for a great ride - we like to use this one as our warm-up run.

Once you are warmed up and feeling snappy, ride Breezeway again, take a less sharp right and hit the new K2 Terrain Park. It has lots of neat jumps and other terrain park features to enjoy on the way down. If you are feeling perky, the trees off the lower left part of the run are loose and really fun.
