Hopefully you’ll never need to use them, but if you do, Monarch has top flight Ski Patrol staff both on the hill and at the base area. If you have problems on the hill, there are three Ski Patrol stations, one each at the top of Panorama Lift, Breeze Way Lift and Garfield Lift. If you have one, cell phone service is pretty good on the mountain.
If you have a wreck or see someone who needs help in the middle of a run, here is what you should do. Put a pair of skis in a vertical X uphill from the accident site (stick the ski tails into the snow, tips up in the air) to warn people away. Then send someone down to the nearest lift to notify a lift operator. The ski patrol will respond asap.
They are superbly trained professionals and will take good care of you and your friends when bad things happen. If you need to find someone that has been taken down the mountain by the patrol, the main patrol headquarters are next to the Monarch Main Lodge, by the Pioneer Lift.

Monarch Ski Patrol Headquarters

Hello,
My son is interested in your Junior Ski Patrol program for the 2010-2011 ski season and wanted to see if you could send some information. We have purchased season passes to Monarch for the whole family and are looking forward to the season!
Katherine
Katharine,
Glad to hear that your son is interested in the Junior Ski Patrol. It is a great program, and might lead to a fun career helping people on the slopes.
Call the main office at 888-996-7669 and they can set up with applications and more info.
Have a great ski season.
