The Monarch Mountain Lodge. (which is not at the ski area and is different from the “Monarch base area lodge”) is a little too far from the ski area for lunch.
The Monarch Mountain Lodge is a great place to dine apres ski. Stop in after a full day of skiing and have a good dinner while the traffic down the pass clears. This can be an especially good idea on heavy snow days when there may actually be traffic concerns.
