Kids Ski and Snowboard Lessons at Monarch

Kids love skiing, and they love snowboarding even more.

Sadly, some of them no longer love it after being introduced to it by their caring and well-meaning, but untrained, parents.  Avoid the tears. Sign your child up for the childrens’ ski school and leave this critical stage of your child’s lifetime love of skiing in the hands of professionals.

A good ski instructor can help your child to learn much faster, and with less drama than you can imagine. Your child will be learning as part of a friendly group of similar age and ability, and this leads to fun and improvement.  Monarch offers a variety of lesson packages for children, from toddlers over at the rug lift to the all-mountain teen snowboard tours, they can handle your child.

Maybe not the best way to go?

Children may start ski lessons at age 3, and continue from there.  (We’ve seen “kids” in their 70′s having fun in a lesson, too!)  Daycare and lessons for younger kids go from 8:30 to 4:15 daily.  Lessons for older kids follow the same schedule as for adult lessons.

Cool Tip – If the dates work out, the Mountaineers and Shredder programs are super. Your kids get matched up with other kids of similar ability and get to rip it up all day together.

Put your kid in a lesson – they will love you for it. As a bonus, you get to go explore the ski area on your own. No little monsters along, at least for half a day.  Isn’t that what v-a-c-a-t-i-o-n-s are for?
